Riley Brewer, owner/operator of Riley’s Guide Service, has over 30 years experience chasing Striped Bass throughout their Midwestern and Southern range with over 20 years in Patoka Lake alone

Last fall was a bad time for the stripers at Patoka lake. The lake turned over and the water temp. was in the nineteis. This caused oxygen level to drop. The stripers stressed out and many of the large fish died. There are lots of young fish still in the lake.  It will be a few years before they will be big enough to be worth catching.

Rileys Guide Service will be keeping and eye on the lake and will let you know when I start catching fish in numbers again. Untill that time I will be guiding on Monroe lake for hybrid striped bass. I will also be guiding on Hardy lake for stripers and hybrid striped bass.The stripers in Hardy range from 4lbs. to 16lbs.

Riley’s Guide service offers phenomenal Spring and Fall surface casting with top of the line equipment and an expert to get you where the fish are. For the adventurous, try fly-fishing for the explosive heart pounding action only stripers can offer. Summer time brings deep water trolling, hook into those crafty old lunkers that dwell in the crystal depths.

Though specializing in Stripers, it’s your fishing trip. Riley will get you into the spring/fall Crappie, Nesting Bluegill, Large Mouth Bass, or even just a day out on the lake for sightseeing and relaxation.

MONORE LA KE

Today went real good.We caught several nice fish. These fish were all about 10 LBS. IT looks like the evening bit is on.

WE went to Monroe today.The hybrids were hitting real good.It was and evenning bit.Most of the fish weighted        around 10 Lbs.

It was   a good day on the lake. We caught 4 hybrids , they weighed 12lbs-11lbs-8lbs-and 6lbs.

Today we went to Monore Res. The fish are starting to hit ,we picked up 3 nice fish. They weighted 8lbs.-12lbs.-and12lbs. The water temp. was 76 degrees.
